Welcome to
the 30th Annual Francis Howell Marching Invitational. The
Francis Howell Band Boosters will do their
best to
ensure that you have a pleasant experience at the
Francis Howell Invitational. If there is
anything you need
please
contact one of the Band Bandboosters and we'll do
our
best to
assist you.
Location
As you are
aware, we
have a great artificial turf field and it is in excellent condition for
your
performance!
The address
is 7001
Highway 94 South, St. Charles, Missouri 63304.
Arrival /
Parking
Bus, semi and
support
vehicle parking will be in the front lot of the school; those vehicles
should
enter
the campus
via the
North (first) gate on Highway 94. All others should enter through the
Stadium
Entrance
on Highway D
(follow
the signs for Spectators). Directors please report to Registration Table
immediately
upon
arrival to receive your packets. Any unpaid
entry fees will be due at this time if we
have not yet
received
them. Handicapped parking is also available at the stadium entrance on
Highway
D. Plan to
arrive and
check-in at least one hour before your warm-up time. Upon your arrival,
Francis
Howell Band
students will greet you and remain with your group to escort you to and
from
the
performance
field.
Please ask bus drivers to fuel buses before or after the event, as they
may be
unable
to leave and
re-enter
the lot later.
Restrooms
The school
restrooms
are not available for public use during this competition. There are
restrooms
located
near the
concession
stand and port-a-potties will be available throughout the campus. Your
buses and
support vehicles
must serve as your changing areas. Entry into the high school building
will
not be
allowed for any
reason. Please instruct your students NOT to use the restrooms to
change!!
This has
caused big
problems in the past.
Admissions
There is an
admission
charge of $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for seniors and students ages 6
and up.
Children 5
and under
are free. The price of admission covers both the preliminary and finals
coOmpetitions.
Programs will
be
available for $2.00 each. Directors, listed staff, bus drivers and band
members
will receive
an
armband at check-in and will be admitted free. You will receive an
additional 8
armbands
to be used
for
chaperones or pit crew members.
Award Ceremony
The
Preliminary award
ceremony will begin as soon as possible following the last band's
performance.
Please report
with
your drum majors to the sideline before the awarding of the trophies so
that
the
judges may
introduce
themselves to you. After the awards ceremony, directors are asked to
report to
the area of
the trophy
tables to collect their tapes and recap sheets. At that time, drawings
for
finals
competition
performance times will be done.
Trophies
Caption
awards for
Outstanding Music, Outstanding Visual, Outstanding General Effect, and
trophies
for the top
three
bands in each division will be given in Preliminary competition.
Caption awards
and
trophies for
the top
six performing bands will be awarded in finals competition.
Food
Our Band
Booster
organization will have plenty of food and drink available throughout
the day.
We appreciate
your support
of our
concession stands. The menu includes pizza (whole and by the slice),
burgers, brats, hot
dogs, chicken breast sandwiches, nachos, pretzels, candy, chips,
Dippin' Dots,
funnel
cakes, potato
ribbons
and a range of beverages.
Pre-Ordered
Pizzas
We are
pleased to
offer you the opportunity to pre-order pizza from Domino's. A whole
pizza is
$10
and can be
paid by
cash or check made payable to the Francis Howell Band
Boosters. The
pizzas
are large and
cut into
quarters unless you request otherwise. You can select your delivery
time and we
will make
sure the
time is met. Simply send an email with your order to Agnes Lamer
(FHHSMB_AAL@YAHOO.COM).
Merchandise
We are
pleased to
offer a variety of band apparel and novelty items from PepWear. For
more than
20
years,
PepWear has
been commemorating high school experiences. They started out selling
t-shirts
at
band
competitions, and
now PepWear attends more than 800 school-related events throughout the
United States
each
year. Air-grams will also be for sale the day of the event. The
merchandise
tables
will be located under
the bleachers at the north end of the stadium.
